Luminaria House is a full-service editorial agency specializing in speculative fiction, speculative romance, and LGBTQIA+ stories. We are here to help authors improve their craft and polish their hard work, and to prepare them for their publishing journey. Owner
Vicky Haygood has been editing professionally since 2019, but her passion for stories and wordcraft began long before. She is dedicated to helping independent authors transform their manuscripts into high-quality books ready for both print and digital distribution. Her goal is to support authors through their publishing journey by refining their work without compromising their unique voice or style.
A lifelong book lover and avid reader across genres, Vicky is passionate about elevating the quality of independently published works. With the rise of self-publishing, she has seen many promising stories fall short due to preventable errors in editing and design. She started her editing career because she believes good books deserve to be great—and she’s here to make sure they reach their full potential.
Vicky continually invests in her own craft through memberships in the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA) and ACES: The Society for Editing, along with ongoing training and professional development.
